Moms and Dads, dengue has continued to be a significant health issue in Indonesia. Dengue fever, commonly known as DBD in Indonesia, continues to be one of the country’s most persistent public health problems. The tropical climate and rapid urbanization create ideal breeding conditions for Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, allowing dengue to spread widely throughout urban and rural areas. Each year, thousands of Indonesians are infected, and outbreaks frequently occur in densely populated regions. Based on the data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

In Indonesia, dengue fever remains a serious public health concern, with a high number of cases and deaths reported each year. In 2024, the country recorded 257,271 dengue cases and 1,461 deaths, reflecting the ongoing challenge of controlling this mosquito-borne disease. By July 28, 2025, there had already been 95,018 reported cases and 398 deaths, indicating that dengue continues to pose a significant threat. These figures highlight the urgent need for sustained prevention efforts, including community engagement, vector control, and early medical intervention to reduce both infection rates and fatalities.1
